It is worth a mention that the biggest winners in ecommerce are the companies that have a complete website platform that runs on their own server software and they can run their own online store. Companies like Shopify have taken ecommerce to the next level, they run their own websites and are already making some money. While they are creating millions of dollars by doing this, there are many other companies who are just starting to play in the same field, but they are not going to be successful in selling anything online. In fact, I would venture to say that only a small fraction of the internet users have even heard of Shopify or they are not using their websites. There are several advantages a big name in ecommerce can bring to a new online store. First of all they usually have large customer base and the best thing is that they often have a large number of product inventory that can be sold online.

The next advantage is that there is usually a huge amount of competition in ecommerce as there are usually hundreds of competitors trying to provide the same products or have a bigger online presence than you. The reason why is because the competition does not want you to succeed. So this means they must come up with unique ways to sell and provide you with a unique opportunity to succeed.
