1. Skype just agreed with hotspot provider Wilcoms on a deal that will allow Skype to offer free Wi-Fi all over England. Users will be able to get online using their Skype account at various stores, although no specific stores have been established. It’s free to customers but businesses will need to pay a little monthly fee plus a one-time equipment charge to provide the access.


2. MobileDay received the Innovation of the Year award Wednesday at the 13th annual IQ Awards presented by the Boulder County Business Report. MobileDay created a mobile app that serves as an “easy” button for conference calls. The app provides users with one-touch entry into any conference call on a service of their choice, whether you host the conference call or not. Get it for free on an iPhone or Android.


3. VoxCommunications just announced that its mobile Voip app for Android devices exceeded 100,000 downloads from the Google Play store. The VoIP app launched in October of 2011, and you can get it on your Android mobile phone or tablet. Check out the app here.
