Free calls with new mobile app – UberConference

Written by josh on December 19th, 2012

UberConference is one of my favorite providers out there. I’ve told you about them here and here. To summarize, UberConference combines a visually striking interface with intuitive functionality. I return to them today because UberConference just launched a mobile app.

Of course, UberConference knows a thing or two about mobile app development. They deliver everything we want most from a communication app: simplicity, functionality and social media integration.

Open the app, choose who you want to start a conference call with, and hit “start.” That’s all you have to do to make a call. The system automatically calls participants to join. At the end of each call, you’ll receive a summary.

The UberConference app is integrated with all major social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+). Click on any participant on the call and you’ll bring up their information from these places. You’ll have complete social profiles for everyone on your calls.

While using the UberConference app, you have access to many in-call controls. As the conference creator you can mute, hangup, block or “earmuff” participants at your will anytime during the call. You can also start and stop call recordings, a cool feature. The mobile app is not a dumbed down version of the website. It’s a smart app with nearly all the same features the website provides.

The mobile app works for both iOS and Android devices.

UberConference is a great company and one everyone who wants to make free calls should stay aware of.
