I’m happy to report that the playbook is amazing! Super great screen, graphics, and web browser. The operating system is sweet but of course, the only drawback so far is lack of applications. I’m not a big gamer or anything like that so it doesn’t bother me that much. The only one that does bother me is no Skype!

However, they do have a Comwave ephone application that when paired with the WiFi connection on the Blackberry, you can make and receive VoIP calls from anywhere in the world. The app is a free download and comes with a 30-day trial. After the trial, you get 250 minutes per month, a unique phone number, and unlimited FREE incoming calls for just $20 per year.

FreeCallsCheapCalls is a website that writes about the various solutions for VoIP related industries like Chat, Voice, Internet Fax, Web Conferencing, International SIM cards, and jail-breaking Iphones (coming soon). It’s similar to this site but offers a different design and a new voice.

Although we both cover many of the different platforms of VoIP communication, it’s always good to watch different sites in case new information pops up and new deals are found.

FreeCallsCheapCalls is definately a new site but shows a lot of promise for those looking for more ways to find out about cool VoIP applications, Internet fax options, and other things related to phones such as Iphone jailbreaking and international travel.

Gmail now allows multiple calls!

For about a month or 2 now, Gmail has had multiple call capability allowing you to put a caller on hold and grab another call at the same time. Multi-taskers rejoice!

Now if your already in a call and a second one comes in, you can answer it and your first call will be put on hold. You can easily switch between calls by using the resume button on the person you want to talk to. The other person will be put on hold automatically.

So now when buddy is boring you to tears, just grab another call and wait it out.

Once installed, this lovely app allows you to make make and receive calls over WiFi, 3G, or EDGE connections.

You can find the app in the Android market or you can click here. You will need Android 1.5 to make it work. You’ll also need to make sure your phone carrier does not block connections to port 5060.
