Vietnam app btalk wants to take down Viber

There’s beef in the South East. Hanoi-based internet security company Bkay just launched free calls app Btalk with the intention of replacing Viber in the Vietnam market.
Apparently the majority of free calling apps in Vietnam are over the top with a lot of unnecessary features. Nguyen Tu Hoang said Btalk’s intro to the market is to create a simple calling app that does just want you want and not more.
Btalk wants to become mainstream in Vietnam, becoming the official software in all smartphones instead of being a second choice to Viber.
The interface of Btalk is simple. Free calls are streamlined along with free SMS, facebook chat, Yahoo! Messenger, and Gtalk.
Btalk also has voicemail, photo sharing, group chat and calling, plus video calling.
The app is designed to adjust call quality to available bandwidth. The calls will always be in a good range, but if there are extra frequencies in the area, the call quality will be raised to the HD level.
After Btalk replaces Viber in Vietnam, Hoang said the next goal is to spread globally.
Btalk is now available for download for Android. iOS and Windows Phone versions will be launched in the third quarter of 2014.
Does anyone already use or know about Btalk?
