Through Google’s Gmail service, the company provides free chat and calls. Users are able to make free calls to phones in the US and Canada. It’s a Google feature many take for granted, and one people will be very pleased to know will continue. Can you imagine if you had to pay for gChat? Office communication would disintegrate!

Here is a statement from Google about their VoIP extension:

“Many of you call phones from Gmail to easily connect with friends and family. If you’re in the US and Canada, you’ll continue to be able to make free domestic calls through 2013. Plus, in most countries, you can still call the rest of the world from Gmail at insanely low rates.”

Cheers! Dream big and call far in 2013!
